Title: File tagging? Or what? Post by: fralippo on June 25, 2018, 10:49:40 am When I select an album to play it I often get tracks covered by the "XXHighEnd W10xxx - Model 2.10" indication. This doesn't happen with all of them. Do you have any idea about it? Could it be related to the hidden audio file tagging?
Also, I remember this from day one with XXhe, when I "open" an album much often the first two tracks are already "preselected". In white. Thank you. Title: Re: File tagging? Or what? Post by: fralippo on June 25, 2018, 10:51:32 am Pic
Title: Re: File tagging? Or what? Post by: PeterSt on June 25, 2018, 12:41:03 pm Hi,
I think I had this once (so one time only) myself and as far as I recall this happened when I double-clicked the item in the Library Area to load the album in the Playlist Area. Back at the time when this happened (which was with 2.10 for sure) I immediately tried to repeat it, but I couldn't. What I notice from your text though is this : Quote when I "open" an album much often the first two tracks are already "preselected". In white. I just again tried to copy the situation with that Double Click, and indeed it is so that one time after the other (thus half of the times) the first two tracks get selected. So question : Do you use DoubleClick in the Library Area when this happens ? Can you repeat it, maybe after 10-20 attempts ? If so, what do you do exactly ? ... if I can't copy the behavior I can not solve it ... And if you can't reepeat it really, is it importent to have it solved ? Best regards, Peter Title: Re: File tagging? Or what? Post by: briefremarks on June 25, 2018, 04:14:04 pm I have noticed this ONLY when double-clicking an album in the Library area. I've never had this problem if I drag the folder over to the playlist area
Title: Re: File tagging? Or what? Post by: fralippo on July 03, 2018, 05:07:20 pm Sorry for delaied reply. Today I was able to perform some checks.
Yes, I always double clicked on a cover in the library area. The "pre" selection, in white, of the first two tracks seems to be random... sometimes the first track only, sometimes the first two. Others the second one only. But the "XXHighEnd W10..." indication over the tracks is 100% repeteable. With some albums all the time, never with others. Since day one with XXhe I used the double click methode, the most intuitive. And it works, although not perfectly. I believe this matter should be solved. Or the double click function totally disabled! Thank you. Title: Re: File tagging? Or what? Post by: PeterSt on July 04, 2018, 09:48:45 am OK. I think it is a good idea if you send me an album with which I can repeat it.
Quote With some albums all the time, never with others. This is probably (or obviously) why I surely had it once, but can not repeat it (I just don't know any more with which album I had the issue). Can you send it to me please (via Filemail.com or so) ? Peter Title: Re: File tagging? Or what? Post by: fralippo on July 16, 2018, 12:51:40 pm Files just sent. Sorry for the delay and thank you!
Title: Re: File tagging? Or what? Post by: PeterSt on July 16, 2018, 01:51:52 pm Fralippo,
It may be hard to believe, but yesterday I could repeatedly let it go wrong from within the Show/Compare Tracks function (and load tracks from there - which in itself doesn't work for 2.10, so I was working on that). Today, now want to solve it from there, it won't go wrong any more. Not from within that function. Or is it again the particular album(s - there were more) ?? Anyway, will try your example now in due time. Thank you for sending it. Peter :15a: Title: Re: File tagging? Or what? Post by: charliemb on August 29, 2018, 02:56:12 pm Hi Peter and Fralippo
I've had all of these problems for a long time. Sorry I did not report them. I can make the Windows overlay go away 100% of the time by just going back into the library area and then back to the playlist. Banner gone. Hope that helps. I also get the double tracks selected. Yes, I use double click as well. Title: Re: File tagging? Or what? Post by: PeterSt on October 21, 2018, 06:04:23 pm Well, I finally found at least one situation which can consistently mimic this : have a track in your Demo Gallery from a Cue File. I have an example in .WAV and I don't know wheter that (WAV or FLAC) matters.
It does not look to be the same situation as shows in this topic, nor do I recall that I had it like that, because it coincides with the fact that the Cue File album is not "enumerated". See picture below. And I would have recalled that. Something else is that I see this "not enumerated" from a Cue file happen more often, lately. This wasn't so, earlier on. Plus things have changed in that area (not sure when, but say up to a year ago). Anyway, from this situation I may find the other reason(s) ... Peter Title: Re: File tagging? Or what?
