Title: Unwanted soft fade in Post by: hudesigns on April 21, 2018, 03:35:45 am Hi Peter,
I have a separate question regarding playback's soft fade-in at the beginning of a track. It is a general issue, not specific to MQA. Many times the very beginning of first track is slightly cut off by soft fade-in. It drives me crazy. Because it makes the song sound like "testing" track, not a perfect presentation. Any way to fine adjust the starting point? Best, Zheng Title: Re: Unwanted soft fade in Post by: PeterSt on April 21, 2018, 10:36:08 am Hi Zheng,
Quote I have a separate question "Seperate questions" are to be put in separate topics, so I just did that. haha. I am afraid that this is your DAC. It may be hard to explain but for me this can "locically happen". However, if you recognize this is happening to all your DACs (I assume you have a dozen ;)) then we may try to investigate which setting causes this. Anyway I would try the (Q1) 30x40 (assumed you set that because "we" do lately) back at a normal 14x1. I think this relates to what a DAC can fail upon. Btw, maybe there is a misunderstanding about what is "soft fade in" as such. I think you refer to something like what software is doing to you, while I'd say the level gradually increases (which is quite explicitly not what you mean, I think). Let me know what happens.
