Title: Where is my signature? Post by: juanpmar on December 19, 2017, 05:17:55 pm Peter, my signature has disappeared :(. I'm afraid the web still does not work well.
Best regards, Juan Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: PeterSt on December 19, 2017, 05:40:40 pm Hi Juan,
Strange. Especially because a quick look learns that possibly you are the only one. Anyone else missing his signature ? Anyway, looking into it ... Regards, Peter Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: juanpmar on December 19, 2017, 10:17:54 pm I'm going to stop posting until I know what's going on.
Sorry Juan Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: PeterSt on December 20, 2017, 08:31:10 am Juan, your signature obviously is back. I am not even sure whether you did that yourself or that we did that in solving the issue.
Regards, Peter Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: manisandher on December 27, 2017, 11:50:09 am Oops. I just updated my signature and it's disappeared altogether.
Mani. Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: PeterSt on December 27, 2017, 11:57:51 am Mani, working on getting it back.
Peter Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: manisandher on December 27, 2017, 12:00:19 pm I've tried re-entering it. It gets wiped as soon as I press 'change profile'.
(Don't worry if you can't recover it - I'll just re-enter it.) Mani. Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: manisandher on December 27, 2017, 12:03:27 pm It's back - thanks Peter. So, will changes stick after 'change profile'? Is it OK for me to try?
Mani. Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: PeterSt on December 27, 2017, 12:05:19 pm It's back now, but (somehow !) it does not like being saved when it is there already. So a kind of :
1. Change text in there; 2. Copy text. 3. Click Change Profile (now it disappears); 4. Paste back the Text; 5. Click Change Profile (now it sticks). It would be good if you don't change things as of now, so we can look into this and solve it with this example (it is most probably data (content) related). So we will save back that same text I put in a couple of times again until it works (read : don't change because you will lose that as of now). Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience, Peter Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: manisandher on December 27, 2017, 12:09:29 pm OK, I'll wait until you say everything is working properly.
No inconvenience on my part  Mani. Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: boleary on December 29, 2017, 10:16:26 pm Just happened to me too.
Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: PeterSt on December 30, 2017, 07:03:34 am I actually should have anncounced yesterday that this issue is solved.
But it isn't ? Brian, I put yours back. Can you retry ? I actually hope that you only *saw* yesterday that it had gone. And not that you *did* something yesterday to let it disappear. Can you confirm one or the other ? Peter Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: boleary on December 30, 2017, 11:24:24 am Sorry Peter, I did something yesterday and just tried again, and again it disappeared.
Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: PeterSt on December 30, 2017, 03:50:28 pm OK Brian, thanks.
Can you email me the text you paste in and which disappears ? Regards, Peter Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: boleary on December 30, 2017, 03:56:01 pm Both yesterday and today I changed the nervous rate value from 100 to 1. No other changes.
Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: PeterSt on December 30, 2017, 04:28:41 pm Um ... but *that* is not going to remove your signature.
Maybe you posted in the wrong topic ? Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: boleary on December 30, 2017, 08:17:28 pm Yes, changing only that one thing caused the signature to disappear when I hit the "post" button, both yesterday and today.
Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: PeterSt on December 31, 2017, 10:53:51 am Hi Brian - Are you saying that you changed the Nervous Rate in your signature from 100 to 1 ?
Sorry to be thick, but this was quite unexpected (regarding the other topic about the same thing in XXHighEnd). Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: PeterSt on December 31, 2017, 10:57:13 am ... So if you meant that in the first place, there's 1 in there at this moment and if I change that to 100 and then back to 1, all sticks.
I am lost. :) Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: boleary on December 31, 2017, 02:27:16 pm Yes, I changed the Nervous Rate 100 to 1 in my signature and that caused the signature to disappear both times. About 4 or 5 weeks ago, while trying to sort out my SQ issue, I believe that I changed my signature nervous rate setting from 1 to 100 while erroneously thinking that the 1 was a mistake.
Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: boleary on December 31, 2017, 04:26:23 pm But, on second thought, it now seems more likely that I've been using a nervous rate setting of 100 for a long time, given the nature of it since 2.06, and that's what my signature reflected. Only now, since something changed for the worse in my system over the last few months, changing nervous rate back to 1 (where it had been for years before 2.06) makes a very significant improvement in sound. :)
Sorry for being uncertain about this. Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: PeterSt on December 31, 2017, 06:02:03 pm :thankyou:

If you can still mimic your situation (and we must assume that) please do that once again and tell me the how to. So far I can't do it. Thanks, Peter Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: juanpmar on January 01, 2018, 10:54:59 am Thanks Peter
Juan Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: boleary on January 01, 2018, 03:06:09 pm Just made a change in my signature (SFS from 1 to .02) and it worked. Not sure what happened before. As always, used the "Forum Profile Information," button, under "Modify Profile" to make the change. Then hit save.
Title: Re: Where is my signature? Post by: PeterSt on January 03, 2018, 04:26:40 am OK, *now* it is solved ...
