Title: How to install 2.08 to RAM-OS disk? Post by: Stanray on October 21, 2017, 03:15:40 pm I’m ready to upgrade to 2.08, but I’m a bit puzzled how to do this at de RAM-OS disk.
I understand I need to access drive X: by attaching to the BASE volume. Next I want to unzip the 2.08-patch-rar file and copy it over the old files. But there seems to be no unzip-program available on the X: drive. Do I need to download this and copy to the X: drive? I seem to miss something? What is the proper procedure for upgrading XXHighEnd on the RAM-OS disk? Stanley Title: Re: How to install 2.08 to RAM-OS disk? Post by: PeterSt on October 21, 2017, 03:36:34 pm Hi Stanley,
Boot into the BASE of the OS you want to apply the 2.08 Upgrade patch to, and pase it over the c:\XXHighEnd\2.xx folder. In there unrar it. When all set, boot back into the RAM OS again. I am not even sure whether WinRAR is on that OS. I'd think it is. But if not : WinRAR (http://www.stordiau.nl/downloads/winrar-x64-420.zip). The RAM-OS-disk is a blessing, highly recommended. Thanks Peter. Regards, Stanley |
