Title: Spaces in filepath on fresh install Post by: GerardA on September 27, 2017, 10:02:24 pm Hi Peter,
I tried to install vs. 2.08 on my laptop which was XXHE-free previously. It wont start when I click on xxhighend.exe. It says I installed it in a folder with spaces in the name. But where are the spaces in C:\XXHE? Did I mess up/not read all the info / something else? Regards, Gerard. Possibly you do not start XXHighEnd.exe from within that same C:\XXHE folder ? So can you try to go to that folder with Explorer and try from there ? Regards, Peter Title: Re: Spaces in filepath on fresh install Post by: GerardA on September 29, 2017, 09:33:03 am That's the way I did it.
Tried a new unzip in a new folder but same result. Title: Re: Spaces in filepath on fresh install Post by: PeterSt on September 29, 2017, 03:27:28 pm Stupid thought :
Have the old 2.07 running. Paste the Upgrade patch over it. Rightclick on Pause will show the path (and should show a space somehow). ... Then I will know the cause, hopefully. After this you can paste back the 2.07 UpgradePatch (like in case 2.08 does not start at all for the same reason). ? There's a new 2.08d for it in here (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=3887.0). |
