Title: exclude XP audio Post by: dinamanu on February 22, 2008, 10:47:28 pm HI under xp my usb dac play only with foobar and asio to avoid crazy xp volume ,is possible with xx (xp-vista) ?
from dddac.de (http://www.dddac.de/pics/dddac1543mk2/usb-set3.jpg) "totally disables all Windows drivers in the sound process..... It means there are also no WAVE sounds any more !! All internal Sound drivers are inactivated.... Only the WAV files and the USB DAC are in play now.... so can be unpractical when the PC is also used for other applications :-( Basically the WAV File is sent by the player directly to the USB output now. Sounds minimalistic.... doesn't' it ????" Title: Re: exclude XP audio Post by: PeterSt on February 23, 2008, 07:49:45 am It sure can work under XP, but keep in mind that you will not be able to prove that it is bit perfect. Also in XP you have the 64MB (WAV file size) limitation.
The help behind that little link in the left pane of the player shows the limitations. I hardly know them myself anymore ! |
