Title: XXHighEnd Model 0.9u-0a (solves 96/24 file bug) Post by: PeterSt on February 17, 2008, 10:57:29 am It is strongly advised to not use your system without a preamp (or the pre-amp at max volume for that matter) if you or your speakers won't be able to handle a situation that e.g. the file contains wrongly formatted data or otherwise - because of which cracks may emerge with an energy beyond imagination.
If you are new, read XXHighEnd Model 0.9u-0 (Implements 96/24 and Digital Volume Control) (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=371.0). And do it please. The 0.9u-0 version contained a flaw concerning native 96/24 files for those DACs accepting 24 bits without the necessity to padd to 32 bits first. Although I do not have such a DAC, hence cannot test it, I hope it works better now. At the same time (untested !) it should be possible to play native 88.2/24 files. Some error messages were added in order to make as clear as possible (to me) what's going wrong, if it is. |
