XXHighEnd

I am using W8 and XXHE 2.06 on a separate computer for steaming Tidal songs. Everything has been working great and there have been no issues until yesterday when I received the  attached error.

Has anyone else had trouble with Tidal recently? I can't imagine what changed on my end since I only use this W8 partition for the streaming.

I think everybody will have had this, including myself.

In your XX folder there's a TidalSession.dat file. Delete that.
Now restart XXHighEnd and do what you intended. There will be a login screen presented and after that all wil be fine.

Don't ask me why this happens, but it is something at Tidal's (the login session seems to be able to expire and for everybody (??) it was yesterday).

I tried that and do receive the new login screen but when I type my user name and password, it says failed. I changed my password just to make sure it was correct and it still wont log in for some reason. When I use the web browser, my account logs in fine.

If it says "failed" it look like you (by now) use a non-activated XXHighEnd. Can that be so ? (title bar must be Red when XXHighEnd is the active form (click on it)).

Btw, why did you give this a title of "New" troubles ?
It looks like you've had more troubles, but I am not aware of that (or am I ?). If it is not important, never mind.

It is activated but I just tried what you said with v 2.03 and I was able to log in fine. Also the streaming works.

To take some short cuts :

Since what situation on your side did things stop working yesterday ?
(and answer "nothing that I know of" is fine)

I see no reason that any older XXHighEnd version gives less "problems" to this regard. What can be though is that the older one is activated and the newer one not (just saying).

I only log into this computer about once every two weeks in order to get music to stream on my remote server. The only thing I would have done was paste the 2.06 patch over the 2.04.

The title bar was red and I could change the core appointment so it was activated. I'm going to install 2.06 and reactivate and see if everything is normal.

A new install of 2.06 and everything works as it should. Thanks Peter. :)

I now recognize a small but annoying issue ...

The Title Bar will be Red from a previous situation when all was still fine, but Playback was never applied. So I think you can fire up XXHigHEnd a 100+ times and all looks good, but without playback one doesn't know really.
This is the Tidal (PC) situation obviously ...

So I must assume that you noticed only yesterday was coincidence ?
(two others ran into a similar situation, including me)
