Title: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: Tore on July 31, 2016, 10:14:36 pm Tore,
Quote But i was so stupid to pull out the USB cabel and now my PC can`t find my NOS1 At first I thought that you pulled out the cable when music was playing. But was music playing indeed ? Or did you just change the cables as you just described as everybody could do that ? If you pulled out the cable when music was playing, which side of the cable did you pull out first ? Peter Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: PeterSt on August 01, 2016, 08:11:15 am Hi Tore,
Hmm ... Did you switch off both the PC and the NOS1 (and restart them) ? I think you also have an Intona; did you try it without that ? Peter Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: Tore on August 01, 2016, 08:54:57 am Peter, i have restarted both many times. I will try without the Intona later.
Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: Tore on August 01, 2016, 07:47:19 pm Peter, i have been out today
It is no difference without the Intona :-( At the bottom of the Phasure USB Audio Control Panel : Ready + Driver not is available Tore Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: PeterSt on August 02, 2016, 08:53:44 am Tore, maybe it is quite a detour for you, but can you try another PC ?
All you need to do is install the Driver and watch for "Streaming is up and running". No need to install XXHighEnd. Regards, Peter Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: Tore on August 02, 2016, 09:35:00 am I will try another PC later, i don`t have so much time today
In Control Panel, Devices and Printers the NOS1 is marked with this text: Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) Tore Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: PeterSt on August 02, 2016, 01:22:29 pm Tore,
I Recognize that description from (indeed) a failing USB device. But this can happen at the PC side as well as the DAC side. You can also try to reboot into Normal OS (first to BASE !) and reinstall the driver. But testing another PC is the fastest and most reliable. Peter Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: Tore on August 02, 2016, 02:19:28 pm Peter, i have done this but it did not help: You can also try to reboot into Normal OS (first to BASE !) and reinstall the driver
Tore Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: PeterSt on August 02, 2016, 02:56:46 pm Quote You can also try to reboot into Normal OS Do notice that if you did not do this *OR* if you after this reinstalled the Driver in MinOS, all looks fine for the Driver Install, but it will NOT work (until you boot into Normal OS again). Please take notice of this carefully. Peter Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: Tore on August 03, 2016, 09:50:02 am I have tried to instal the driver to a W10 laptop many times but installation failed?
Tore Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: nik.d on August 03, 2016, 10:18:09 am Hi Tore,
Pls try foll: Remove IEC power cord from NOS1 for a minute or two then plug it back. Power on NOS1. Looking through the slits at NOS1's left 'leg' there should be visible green light from small LED. If there's no LED lit, USB/I2S receiver needs repair. How this could occur (with Intona isolator in place) is really a mystery... Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: PeterSt on August 03, 2016, 10:38:35 am George (nik.d), I think with this type of error the led will lit anyway.
Peter Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: Tore on August 03, 2016, 10:45:23 am Hi George!
The green LED is OK Tore Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: PeterSt on August 03, 2016, 10:45:56 am I have tried to instal the driver to a W10 laptop many times but installation failed? How do you know ? Btw, you can short cut the communication about this by telling what goes wrong, where it goes wrong, error messages and all you can imagine I like to know. Oh ... I now recall ... 1.04 will not install unless you let XXHighEnd apply the "no Signed Drivers" thing. 1.03 should be OK. So try 1.03 ! Peter Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: Tore on August 03, 2016, 11:26:50 am 1.03 was installed successfully on the laptop. But the laptop comes with this message when i connect my NOS1: Windows do not recognice the device and it has i fail
Have to go out now Tore Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: PeterSt on August 03, 2016, 12:27:36 pm Quote Windows do not recognice the device and it has i fail Then I am afraid your NOS1 (the USB interface) really failed on you ... I don't know how, but something must have got damaged when you pulled that USB cable. Why did you pull it out (hint : probably something else was going on first) ? Peter Title: Re: PC can`t find NOS1 Post by: Tore on August 03, 2016, 01:27:01 pm With XX 2.06 i was going from USB card to USB mobo. Everything was OK for days but the Intona was no hanging in the air.
I desided to have the long usb-cabel from Intona to PC and the short one from Intona to NOS1. No connection after that ;.( Tore |
