Title: Hide file name extension?
Post by: Stanray on July 07, 2016, 11:49:52 pm
Maybe this is discussed before, but I couldn't find it.

In the Library pane the albums are shown with the file type (WAV, FLAC) in between brackets.

Is it possible NOT to show this. I also don't see the use of showing this.

Thanks.

Stanley

Stanley, nope. And it would even be hard to make because the data is used as such (very different things need to happen for either, as you can imagine).

It will be because I am me, but I think this data is crucial know in advance of playback (for various reasons). At least it can be, depening on situations. Of course, if one has e.g. FLAC alone and nothing else, the "info" as such is moot.

Besides that, how can it bother really ? I don't think it takes out other data / information, as it is shown the rightmost and is cut off as the first when the line as a whole does not fit ?

Don't hesitate to express more of your ideas about this !

Peter

Hi Peter,

Indeed, the filename extensions don't occupy space in the lines and it really isn't a big deal.
But in my case, I only have WAV files, it would be a bit more quieter for the whole image if the extensions don't show.

I asked, because I might have missed a simple button to exclude the extensions  :scratching:.
But, like I said, no big deal.

Stanley
