Title: How to load a long playlist? Post by: doublelife on December 31, 2015, 10:54:18 am I'm trying to break in my NOS1a with hours of playtime. At the moment I can only seem to load one album at a time, if I load another it deletes the first, and so on. So how to load say 20 albums to give me continuous daytime or nightime break in?

You must be doing something special, like double-clicking an Item in the Library Area, which would be the only means which first clears the previous playlist (in the Playlist Area). And pressing Clear of course. So you can drag folders on to the Playlist Area, select them in the Library Area followed by pressing Load - and some more possibilities. But automatically cleared is only done by means of Double Click in the Library Area. Unless I forgot other "possibilities". Peter Title: Re: How to load a long playlist? Peter In line with the above answer I have another question if I may: how do I save and retrieve a playlist that I have created. I have by now tried several options in line with what I read on the forum but so far I have been unsuccessful, so a pointer would be appreciated. For now happy new year. Dumb question - if I play music through the dac with xlr out cables attached at the back but not input into the active speakers (so not to hear the damn music at night 8)) that will still be breaking the dac in properly yes? Paul Title: Re: How to load a long playlist? Post by: PeterSt on December 31, 2015, 12:50:42 pm Paul - no, sadly not. Or at least that hasn't been proven by anyone or anything that I know of.
As a matter of fact (?) nothing speeds up. It is about 30 days and that's it (but play a few hours per day and never power off). :sorry: Peter Title: Re: How to load a long playlist? Hey Hans, Be warned - I regard this useless : See below; This is the right hand side of the screen. When you type a name in there and click Save, the current contents of the Playlist Area will be saved to that name. Selecting it later will load it back, BUT only when first the Playlist Area is clear(ed). I never use it because it is cumbersome to use or too small etc. (for containing many lists). Galleries is what I use all of the time ... (I never play anything not loaded from a Gallery). That too may seem "cumbersome" at first, but that's only because of the overhead in creating one. After that it is inifinitely more flexible and fully integrated with exactly everything. The only thing it can not do (opposed to the formal Playlists (see screen shots below) is saving the contents of the Playlist Area at once / in one go. But who wants that ... (seems after the fact to me). If you want to dig this out further, please open a new topic for it. But it has been dealt with more often and in the Tutorials you may also find explanations (though fairly brief). Regards, Peter |
