XXHighEnd

I've installed 2.03a in a windows 8 machine and when I try the search in Tidal I have many web client request errors show up. The albums show up after clicking away the errors but without thumbnails. The same errors show up when I try to prepare for steaming also. Of course, I can not get anything to play. :(

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi David - Can you please :

- Switch on Logging in XXHighEnd (at the bottom in Settings);
- Quit XXHighEnd;
- Restart;
- Do what you did and what goes wrong;
- When the first error shows up, do nothing (let the error be) but tell me the error - and grab the newest XX log file (not the others) from the TemporaryData sub folder to your XX folder.
- Post that file as attachment.

Continue as you please.

Don't forget to switch off logging when you're done with this because it may disturb playback.

First error in Tidal is Download Image- A exception occurred during a WebClient request.

Log is attached. I may just re-install this Windows if you can't find anything in the log.

Hello Peter,

I think I found the problem. My Tidal folders were on the NAS and I switched them to a local disk and now everything works as it is supposed to.

Always your NAS eh ?

Btw, I saw the huge log file and tried John Coltrane myself. What a ridiculous result. 203 "volumes" of which 199 box-set stuff and 4 albums or so. Well, you know ...

David, suppose you open a command prompt (cmd) and you try to find a random folder or anyway a random file to copy. Notice that you can go into a folder (like \XXHighEnd\) by means of :

cd \xxhighend[enter]
(the \ first goes to the root)

with
dir [enter]
you see the contents of the folder.

Now suppose you found a file like "xyz.txt" (take a one with short name and without spaces in it). You can now copy the file to your NAS like :

copy xyz.txt \\THEMATRIX\Tital\Intermediate\Tidal\ [enter]
(mind the space in advance of the \\)

But does that work ?
It is there where it went wrong. Maybe you have insufficient (write) rights on the NAS from the PC where you accessed Tidal ...

Another thing is that you're more safe with using Drive Letters instead of the \\THEMATRIX\ reference. So if you see the \\THEMATRIX\ in explorer, rightclick on it and choose Map Network Drive (I hope I am saying it corretly, because I do this from the top of my head).

Next, in the fields for it in Settings, use that Drive Letter you assigned.

Maybe other things now work better too, with your NAS, when you use the Drive Letter everywhere.
