All of Jochim's links lead to nothing (including his last post in German). So I wonder whether this is theory or reality. Joachim, you can have obtained it through the Insider program (as the only one here, I'd say). But not important - only funny ... Colin, your mentioned post #4 contains nothing but a line of text. However, the link you gave - which I read earlier on and which I saw as a guide, certainly after clicking a but more lower on yeallow "click on" balloon, which out of all is an image ... I just missed the links a bit higher up. So yes. Allow me : http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/techbench Now THAT one works and is the direct page. Meanwhile, 2.9GB to go here ... Thank you guys ! Title: Re: W10 Version 1511 (Build 10586.3) installed Post by: christoffe on November 13, 2015, 10:25:32 am Hi Peter,
I used the "Media Creation Tool" to create an ISO DVD. There are/were different versions/releases of the "Media Creation Tool" on the MS homepage, it seems. *** With the former release I got the build 10240 only appr. 2 weeks ago. Funny it is. Joachim *** yes, that's correct. A) File version - 10.0.10240.16480 B) File Version - 10.0.10586.0 at present Title: Re: W10 Version 1511 (Build 10586.3) installed Post by: PeterSt on November 13, 2015, 10:34:06 am Yes, and I saw another person write (in one of your links) that for him this brought nothing.
Anyway, as always (ok, very often :)) you were the first. Well done. Best regards, Peter PS: Yes, now I must finish something. Release Notes are done already, but I found many open ToDo's of which a few should be solved first. And officially I should install this 10586 first, obviously (the dreaded 11 hours of time). |
