Post by: despearce on October 07, 2015, 05:28:46 pm I can't find out the price and where to get a Phase NOS1a, I'm interested in a digital solution that will match or better my vinyl setup (vinyl has taken a huge price rise recently so want access to cheaper source of music)...

Coincidentally we are just packing a last one we had ready on stock; this means that assembling a next one from the half product(s) we have ready will take 2-3 days. If it would be so that I had to tell you "2 months" then no way you need to pay 2 months in advance; we will wait until yours is "about ready". Virtually this is the case in this situation. So yes, we would send you an invoice to pay in advance, but only a few days. Summarized it will be so that while we will start building a new one right now anyway, that by the time we see your money your NOS1a will be ready (say upcoming Friday or Monday). I have read a lot about the Phasure NOS1a and the XXHighEnd Player in various forums, all of it very positiv. Therefore I am very interested in these products. I have already written an email to sales..... about a week ago as recommended here to ask about delivery time for the NOS1a, but I did not get an answer yet. Care to post your vinyl setup here? And what you listen to? Mine is: Rega RP8/Shelter 501/EAR MC-4 SUT/Graham Slee Reflex M. This is not a world-class setup but it is very good, and much better than a couple much more expensive setups I've had. I listen to 40s-60s jazz which is recorded, of course, in analog and the type of music where vinyl really, really shines, and yet I find my Phasure NOS1A not only competitive but often more musical and more enjoyable than the analog. I've had a number of other DACs here, some Stereophile Class A like the Vega, some more expensive such as the PS DirectStream and Bricasti M1, and the Phasure is the first to do this and now on a regular basis. So I think the Phasure is the way to go if you want to retire your vinyl. (Now, the fact that there is a lot of stuff on vinyl never released on digital is another problem.) |
