Will you eventually make something available for those who do not have a XXHighEnd PC also or is it too complicated because of the different architectures ?

Most probably we can forget about that. But it is also something to try out ...
And notice that this is about an installed OS with all the drivers for everything. It is only that "everything" shouldn't be all that much (MoBo stuff only).

Alain, this is really very much appreciated. But I'm not sure how to deal with the cost you *will* have, while possibly it doesn't work out at all. I mean, I can't bear such a situation and merely like to work with "guarantees".

But please let me think about it and experiment somewhat.

And a pc based on the same asrock mobo and CPU will work with no problems?

I only do not use a swappable diskbay. But I could just stop the (esata) hdd.

Hi Arjan,

Yes, that will work. That is, assumed you can boot from that eSata enclosure *and* that it is hot pluggable (some only say they will be, but are not in practice). So notice that the re-mounting must also be possible (for saving changed data at a shutdown/reboot).

I can switch to normal Sata again, no problem. Buy a Silverstone swappable diskbay and I am ready....

Do you have already an idea about the cost for only the hdd?

I don't think you can, because I have them all. Unless things changed since a year or so.

But I also have an alternative that probably is still available; have to find it myself though and where to get it, what to actually get, etc. But I suppose "doable".
(in the end many of these enclosures exist, but at least for us it's about how to fit it in the case etc. - meaning : generally it should be easy to find an alternative)

I was thinking about 175 euros (including normal mail shipping) - hoping that this is justified. This assumes that nothing any more changes - which I actually don't know at this moment. Outside of that, what you get is :

- The hdd (750GB SATAIII 7500 rpm);
- Cloning the disk (with 3x W10 OS) from the base I have here;
- Packing and shipping.

For others : with the notice that this requires an XXHighEnd License 2.xx to be present (because the hdd comes with licensed XXHighEnd). So if not, it's 72 euros more.

Just ordered the Silverstone FP57 which I think is the right diskbay.
Seems still available. Or am I wrong?

To me the price seems fair. So when available I will like to order one.

Hey Peter, I'd be VERY interested in buying a new Win10 HDD from you. I just haven't had much time to do anything audio related for a few months now and this would be the perfect 'catch-up' solution for me. Oh, and I'd need a licence for XX 2..xx too as I still haven't gotten around to trying it. I totally understand that there is a risk, as my PC isn't a Phasure PC, but mine does use the same mobo and [almost] the same CPU, so I'm hoping all will be good.

I'll be travelling for work for the next few weeks, so no rush in my case. I'll send you a PM and perhaps we can take things from there?

I really did not spend sufficient time on this, but to me this looks like to be for 3.5" - not 2.5".

I like to apply one standard for this : 2.5" which in the end is also related to WW shipping (2.5" weights 100 grams).

You are right, is for 3.5".

The 2.5" diskbay is the one combined with a dvd drive option? The TS03. I have had one of these as well in the past. Will check my old stuff if it is still there.

Else I will look for an alternative.
