Title: Error message "Clearing Proxys" Post by: Stanray on May 31, 2015, 09:52:17 pm When loading a new album in the playlist and/or press PLAY and/or pressing the "C" button I get the error message "Something went wrong at clearing the proxy's; ...etc". :dntknw:

I don't think this will be new to 2.x and it can happen rarely with reasons beyond me. So what happens is that the program can not delete this file, while when you are going in there and delete it yourself that goes without hassle. Maybe it is just an IMDisk quirk ? (I assume you use that) Let me know whether manually deleting it solves it. Peter Title: Re: Error message "Clearing Proxys" Post by: PeterSt on June 01, 2015, 04:36:05 pm Stanley,
I just ran into this myself and this *is* about something new to 2.xx ! It is about the Coverart now being all local ... For it, look in your XX Folder in a sub folder CVTemp (mind you, if your Playback Drive is a RAMDisk, look there). Under that there's a sub folder "1". And under that the whole structure of what you're actually playing (can be from a Gallery). At the deepest point there will be your Coverart. In my case it's indeed about a folder.jpg which is read only. Now I know this I (the program) can just as well clear that Read Only attribute. So it's on the ToDo ... Peter Title: Re: Error message "Clearing Proxys" Post by: PeterSt on June 01, 2015, 07:15:02 pm I actually just discovered that it can happen to normal .WAV files just the same, if ony a Playback Drive is used or "Copy to XX Drive by standard" is active. So point is :
The files can be Read Only (why ? no clue, but I ran into a few myself now) - are then copied to e.g. the Playback Drive and next can not be deleted from there because they are read only. Smart. :swoon: But will be solved in 2.02. Peter Title: Re: Error message "Clearing Proxys" Post by: Stanray on June 01, 2015, 10:33:22 pm Thanks Peter.
I manually deleted the file and it solved the problem. Stanley |
