Title: Problem with installing driver 1.04b by means of Remote Desktop Post by: michaeljeger on May 30, 2015, 01:55:13 pm Hi Peter
Same problems. Unfortunalty, I ran into similar problems like someone in forum. I cannot install the driver. Try to install to c:/phasure_usb Error message that preinstallation failed. In XXHighEnd 201, it shows that „driver does not have to be signed“ after hitting refresh. I also have driver103.tss and not driver103.tst, so that should be ok now. How can I get to install the driver? Not really understanding about signed and unsigned drivers, why is the driver not signed in the first place? Thanks, Michael Title: Problem with installing driver 1.04b by means of Remote Desktop Post by: PeterSt on May 30, 2015, 01:58:36 pm First things first :
:) Quote Not really understanding about signed and unsigned drivers, why is the driver not signed in the first place? Because the procedure for Signing is completely awkard *and* a rip off (like 400 euros ++ per year and not even really doable for Drivers). Title: Problem with installing driver 1.04b by means of Remote Desktop Post by: PeterSt on May 30, 2015, 02:03:14 pm Quote Error message that preinstallation failed. I think this won't come by itself. So another message has shown, *OR* you did not see two questions asked for "Driver is not signed - do you want to install anyway ?" (similar). So if there is more to tell, please do so ! Peter Title: Problem with installing driver 1.04b by means of Remote Desktop Post by: michaeljeger on May 30, 2015, 03:18:24 pm Solved it.
Tried to install by remote. Since driver is not signed, some of the warnings were not shown via remote. So driver install HAS to be installed directly on HighEnd PC. Will do some testing now but I will assume that now things will work. But those messages not showing up via a remote ... ehm ... odd ? Maybe this is a sort of by standard, but what remote software are you using there ? Regards, Peter Title: Problem with installing driver 1.04b by means of Remote Desktop Post by: michaeljeger on May 30, 2015, 03:29:38 pm Peter
I am using Microsoft Remote Desktop on my Mac. It did not display all those pop-ups, if you want to install anyway. Therefore install failed. Once I was directly working without remote, i could confirm to install anyway. And great finding !
By now I put it in a separate topic for better recognition by others. I will change the install guide too. Best regards, Peter |
