Title: 1.03 Driver Question Post by: boleary on May 16, 2015, 03:35:03 pm Quote Edit May 13, 2015 : BUT, the 2.00-a version (which is the actual one for download now) contains a Driver103.tss file. If this file is renamed to Driver103.tst you can use the 1.03 Driver version. Notice that if your file extensions do not show you may see "Driver103" only (while it is really named Driver103.tss). Does the quote above mean that once you've renamed the tss file to tst you do not need the 1.04 driver to play material other than 44.1 after installing 2.00-a? I ask because I thought you only needed the 1.04 version if you wanted to play material other than 44.1 based. Title: Re: 1.03 Driver Question Post by: PeterSt on May 16, 2015, 04:47:36 pm I read it 5 times but I see two the same things, unless the word "based" means something special for the second half.
It is fairly simple : If you want to avoid installing the 1.04 Driver then make sure you have 2.00-a and rename that file. I'm sure I did not understand the question / pose ... So my question was/is if you rename the 1.03 driver to tst --using 2.00a-- will 48KHz material still play 10% too slow? No of course not. :) Title: Re: 1.03 Driver Question Post by: boleary on May 17, 2015, 02:26:34 pm Thanks. So wouldn't it be simpler to delete all references to the 1.04 driver from the release notes since the 1.04 driver isn't needed anymore? :)
