Title: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: Robert on September 24, 2014, 03:39:27 am Hi, just thought I'd ask the question is this happening anytime soon?
Recognising total distractions with NOS upgrades and now BNC cables along with Orelino's. Not sure whether you have had time to play with the software. Robert Title: Re: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: PeterSt on September 24, 2014, 11:40:50 am Hey Robert,
What you all see happening is hardly related to the time I (can) spend on XXHighEnd. However, I need "drive" to create a new version, meaning that it should contain at least one (very) important improvement. IOW, dozens of adjustments and smal limprovements are already there (in similar amount as common Release Notes), but nothing makes it worthy to put out an official upgrade. Now I don't know what you have in mind ? or others for that matter ... Best regards, Peter Title: Re: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: AlainGr on September 24, 2014, 12:23:39 pm Like Robert. I am waiting for the next version. I just looked in the Download and see that 1.186a is still the latest offcial version (it's the one I actually have). So what about the versions you added with custom filters and such... ?
Alain Title: Re: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: PeterSt on September 24, 2014, 06:13:23 pm I don't know. :swoon:
Below you see a snippet of the ToDo based upon 1.186a; All preceeded with * is yet to do, all without it has been done. Have fun, Peter Title: Re: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: AlainGr on September 24, 2014, 06:33:20 pm Ha ha ! You are funny ;)

Title: Re: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: PeterSt on September 24, 2014, 11:01:48 pm Yup.
Right part is (again) to your imagination. Title: Re: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: PeterSt on December 30, 2014, 09:07:10 am Hey all,
Some three months further after I set myself to a couple of very worthwhile nice ideas for a new version ... worked the past 3 weeks in a row to finish that off before the end of the year and ... Too much ! Below you see the same ToDo as you saw in an earlier post but in its state of today; If I counted right then the list is 40 items longer than 3 months ago. Say half of that has been done already, maybe 25% of what was to do from the earlier list has now been solved ... but you can see how easy it is to only expand the list just by working on a few things. So hold on a bit. Peter Title: Re: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: AlainGr on December 30, 2014, 09:35:56 am Hi Peter,
I don't know if your post is what woke me up, but I will profit of this occasion to thank you (Peter, Ciska and co) for the tremendous work you accomplish :) And it is almost the time to say "See you next year !" :) (Back to normal dreams) ;) Alain Title: Re: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: PeterSt on March 26, 2015, 11:00:21 am Hey ...
After 8 years of XXHighEnd and this forum, this just happened to me : Maximum number of characters exceeded (40000). Yeah, at working on the Release Notes. :swoon::swoon: So that amount of characters allowed has always been sufficient, even for my long posts. But now I need more. Changed it to 60000 which seems enough for these Release Notes. Won't be funny to read through either, unless you like to read small books; I just pasted it to a Word document (with a Font Size of 12) and it says I'm on page 19. :blob8: :heat: Peter Title: Re: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: michaeljeger on March 26, 2015, 01:52:25 pm Sounds like a upgrade is coming soon?

Title: Re: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: PeterSt on March 26, 2015, 05:25:51 pm Sounds like a upgrade is coming soon? Depends a bit on how many of those "*" I want to have out of the way first. But not so many maybe. :1eye: Title: Re: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: michaeljeger on March 26, 2015, 10:27:28 pm I volonteer beta tester ;)
Title: Re: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: sondale on March 26, 2015, 11:49:15 pm Does it include an update to Windows 10

Title: Re: Upgrades for XXhighend Post by: PeterSt on May 01, 2015, 06:07:35 pm Hey ... There are two things which are unbelievable : one : Maximum number of characters exceeded (60000). and two : That I just tried to save my XXth incarnation of those Release Notes and thought "maybe again it does not fit any more" which was exactly when this happened (after typing a new sentence in there of maybe 100 characters). I'm sure I must be able to make some money with this kind of good hunches. Peter PS: Changed it to 80000 now, so if someone likes to write a book in here ... :clapping: |
