One thing maybe : The story about the isolation is not complete. And for that matter I am sure he never tried it. ... Which he shouldn't because IMHO it can't be done for the better result (read : some crucial parts are missing about this in the article). I'll stick to that, assuming that the remainder can have been copied from my own (all over the place scattered) "info". Not that I claim he doesn't know himself, but fact for myself is that I have never seen an article about it so good (first part the same). Quote Various designers have implemented parts of this in varying degrees, thus there is going to be a wide variation in how different DACs respond to different influences. Mwah ... One of the designers has implemented it all. Including isolation. One thing for a little shock : He uses SPDIF. :swoon: Well, who was (maybe) the first to state that async USB doesn't cut it ? Nah, can't be. Maybe Berkeley? Anyway, my recent exploit with USB cables suggests to me that whatever is happening inside the NOS1, eliminating noise as much as possible in the first place still matters. Mani. N.b.: I just added more "reply", but I now see how confusing that is (because the wrong topic). So I removed it again. Peter |
