Title: .9d---.9r Post by: Flecko on November 13, 2007, 10:35:21 pm Hi Peter,
it's been a while since I was here, so I was curious how you newest version sound....respect...although you didn't developed for XP/2000 the sound improved remarkable on 2000! Much cleaner and more cynamics. The support for mp3 and flac is also a very good desicion...I don't have such files but you never now if one comes along ;) And some music ist just available on mp3 like Dj sets. I recognized that with E1 I can't play files with length more than 6min. I have 1gig of ram, normaly it should work ..? With E2 there is no poroblem. Is the support for 24/96khz also planed for XP/2000? Greetings Adrian Title: Re: .9d---.9r Post by: PeterSt on November 14, 2007, 10:47:08 am Hi Adrian !
Yeah yeah, I know, you just wanted me to remind about the W2K machine, which is since -what was it, last Christmas ?- sitting and waiting for me to try.. But you know, it is hard these days to want it, because Vista Engine#3 can only be better than #1 or #2, no matter it would be bit perfect W2K. I must tell you, when I put up the latest version (0.9r) I was thinking about you and your W2K machine, and that now I check explicitly for "XP" (instead of "not Vista") for certain things, which is wrong. So if you find something in the Release Notes that does not work for you, please say so, or wait till the next version where this will be solved. The 64MB limit for Engine#1 is an XP (W2K) limit, which is not there under Vista. The support for 96/24 (etc. etc.) will be available for XP/W2K just the same, although I am not sure (the kernel of) Engine#2 can take that. When that is not so indeed, we are in bad luck, because the Engine#1 left, will still have the 64MB limit, but the files will be larger ... Title: Re: .9d---.9r Post by: Flecko on November 14, 2007, 11:49:13 am Hi Peter,

There is a critical error when listen to the player version .9pd and .9r. Sometimes when the next track is loaded the system freezes stone cold. Nothing except a hardware reset can awake the pc again. It has nothing to do with the size of the track. It happens even if the next track is just 1 min. There's no hurry to solve this for me...should just be a bug report. Best wishes and greetings Adrian :wip: :15a: Title: Re: .9d---.9r Post by: PeterSt on November 14, 2007, 11:55:34 am Quote ...perhaps I should try Vista sommtime... Please do Adrian.
