Title: AKDesign USB ASIO device missing in output device list Post by: maxi1963 on October 29, 2012, 07:21:29 pm I did a new install of XXHighend. Tried to select the AKDesign USB ASIO output device I need to drive my Playback Design dac. But the device is not on the list. How can I add this device to the output device list?

While Peter is in a sleep mode now, I wish to join in and give my initial comment. I don't think XXHE will support ASIO. Please click this link: http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=2223.msg23370#msg23370 You have to look for other music players like JR to stream 6.1 MHz DSD through your USB-X box. However, if you wish to run XXHE through your MPD-5, then I suggest AES/EBU interface. I used to run Lynx card with good result before switching to NOS1 USB. Thank you for your reply. I also have a RME ASIO sound card in my pc. It has been deactivated since I start using the X-box. Maybe I should give it a try and put it back to work. Not an easy task; I had serious issues with the RME drivers. Thanks anyway. PauL. Yes, try that RME card (well, if it can handle more than ASIO ;)). If you have certain problems with it, you can always try to ask here. There are quite a few people here who use or used RME. But it should be one of the most decent for drivers anyway ? Regards, Peter |
