Title: WARNING : 0.9z-7-3 Issue with PA and Inverted Phase Post by: PeterSt on September 13, 2012, 08:39:42 am By kind of accident (while measuring with the analyser) I found something which looks "severe" to me :
When Inverted Phase is active and Phase Alignment is applied (+ or -) : When the Digital Volume is at -12dBFS or -10.5dBFS and Alt-U is used, something will happen which on the analyser looks like static. The other way around the same happens : when at -9dBFS or -10dBFS and Alt-D is used. So in this range and at changing the volume this happens. It is not even 100% sure this happens at your place, because I was testing something with other (electrical) output levels of the NOS1, but since I can't reason out how this is related to that electrical change, I thought to better mention it. Not that I can reason out how the software goes bananas for only this attenuation range ... (but also : we can't test higher volumes than -9dBFS because then Phase Alignment disengages) Peter |
