Title: Clock Resolution
Post by: PeterSt on July 11, 2012, 02:11:39 pm
The Clock Resolution may well be a first setting to try for its extremes. Try it with the lowest setting and compare it to the highest setting. You *have* to hear the difference.

There are no real rules applicable, except for the Clock Resolution influencing everything in none go.
It is generally accepted that the highest (number !) setting produces the best SQ, although this certainly won't count for everybody.

The Clock Resolution mixes with nearly every other SQ related setting and changing one setting "there" may imply different SQ results at varying the Clock resolution. We could say "have fun", but it may be better not to touch it (which leaves it at the highest setting).
It would be a good advice to only start with varying it after you are familiar with what XXHighEnd can bring you with the other settings. So, although we encourage you to try varying the Clock Resolution as a first thing to do, this is only to prove to you that EVERYTHING matters.
