Title: Restarting an existing track Post by: charliemb on June 01, 2012, 12:15:34 am There are many times when I get interrupted or distracted while listening to music and I'd like to start the existing track from time 0:00 all over again.
Is there a way to do this in and within unattended mode? Title: Re: Restarting an existing track Post by: PeterSt on June 01, 2012, 07:28:39 am I'd say Alt-S for stop and Alt-P for (re)play ?
Title: Re: Restarting an existing track Post by: charliemb on June 01, 2012, 06:14:18 pm I think that on my system, Alt-S brings back the desktop, i.e., exits unattended mode. No?
Anyway, how should Alt-S work? Should it stay unattended? Title: Re: Restarting an existing track Post by: PeterSt on June 01, 2012, 06:33:20 pm Alt-S may bring back the desktop all right, but what's the problem with that when Alt-P removes it again (as it does) ?
Btw funny, right now I'm having problems with that desktop coming back myself, after Alt-S. I don't like it, and I thought I had introduced it myself somwhow with 0.9z-7. But you seem to say it works like that in 0.9z-6 as well. Okay, then I can stop looking. :) But I may still cange it (back, because I am pretty sure ever back it worked exactly like you, Charlie, expect it to). Thanks, Peter Title: Re: Restarting an existing track Post by: charliemb on June 02, 2012, 06:42:10 am Quote Alt-S may bring back the desktop all right, but what's the problem with that when Alt-P removes it again (as it does) ? Because it takes a long time. Too long. I'd like to quickly restart. I wouldn't mind hitting alt-s, alt-p if it did not go out of and into unattanded mode. Title: Re: Restarting an existing track Post by: PeterSt on July 02, 2012, 01:10:44 pm This has all been revamped for 0.9z-7 now; Half of it didn't work anymore as ever back intended and the other half has been made more smart now. All fairly complicated stuff, because in no time you end up with no desktop at all, when not carefully tested (the numerous combinations in order here). Anyway from off 0.9z-7 : - Als-s/e should just stop/pause playback and nothing else. - Alt-x when Unattended Playback is going on, does *not* bring back anything else but XXHighEnd (this is new). - When after the above situation Stop is used on the UI, the Desktop and all comes back. This will *not* happen with Pause (this is new). - Alt-x when no Playback is going on while no Desktop is there - brings it back. - When Playback (Unattended) ends automatically, the Desktop and all is brought back. This includes Alt-k (for End at Track). Title: Re: Restarting an existing track Post by: charliemb on July 12, 2012, 09:38:55 pm Ah, okay, great. Thanks
Looking forward to the release of z7 |
