Title: More Wishlist Post by: boleary on February 19, 2012, 05:08:56 pm I think I mentioned this once before. It would be great as part of creating a playlist to have an option where you could designate the exact volume for each track in the list. That volume would be part of the playlist data and wouldn't effect how the track was played if you play the entire cd the track came from. For playlists, using "Normalizing Volume" doesnt give me the results I'm hoping for.
I think it was mentioned once befroe that this is doable? :) Title: Re: More Wishlist Post by: PeterSt on February 19, 2012, 05:44:11 pm Hey ...
I think what I said (and otherwise I say it now) is that you don't want an absolute volume, but a relative one. So, that will still be subjective to your attenuation. In order to understand, think about the Normalized Volume, and you correct that (up or down). This then will be the Normalized Volume for that album for the future. Is that a good idea ? A new wish that would be very practical for me is a timestamp for every album that registers the last time the album was played. Because I get a lot of music from friends, family, internet etc. I don't remember for a lot of albums if I ever listened to it, only to find out by playing which is not really working in the long term And then maybe also the number of times played and popularity rating? Title: Re: More Wishlist Post by: PeterSt on March 13, 2013, 08:13:33 am Gerard,
Under the hood that's all registered already (well, not the popularity rating as such, but somewhere this is a derival from how many times it's played). It is only that I need to make something useful out of that. Regards, Peter Title: Re: More Wishlist Post by: JohanZ on March 13, 2013, 11:06:15 am Quote ....After the 225th time you ask this ..... Hi Peter,Here an old request (226th time :smack:): Favorite track selection, see http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=1459.msg14281#msg14281 Time for a implementation in the next release? Best Regards, Johan Title: Re: More Wishlist Post by: PeterSt on March 13, 2013, 12:45:09 pm I lost counting Johan. But indeed, each time I come up (or work on) such a thing it slips my mind "what will Johan say".
That's all. Ahum. :) |
