Am making a "Direct Circuit," bypassing volume pot,  on my integrated amp and the new circuit sounds great, a veil lifted,  but I want to upgrade the RCA sockets. Here's a link to the three I'm considering: Furutech, Eichman and WBT. Anyone have any experience with these? Does their "sound" justify the cost? And what kind are in the NOS 1? Just wondering.

In your NOS1 you will find Neutrik.

The best are WBT Nextgen but cost accordingly in my view. Use like with like. WBT Nextgen RCA plug with Nextgen socket.

I have tried Eichman but they are not robust I"m on my second set of speaker terminals, the plastic is not strong enough for heavy bare wire terminations or on the banana plugs. 

I've just upgraded from the original WBT RCA's to Gold Nextgens and you can hear the difference easily. These are rated at 75ohm for those wanting to use as digital RCA connections. Be aware a lot of RCA's are not 75ohm.

Best balance and transparancy with the wbt nextgens. The 'ordinary' goldplated copper ones suffice, I couldn't really make out a difference for the better with the silver ones (combined with silver males). This low mass concept works really well in my system.

Note that they don't match well with Eichmann male bullets. You may have to turn the plug to connect the ground pin.

I know people who swear by the vampire connectors.

Compared to an upgrade in electronics the investment is peanuts (and lasting!), but keep in mind that the benefits are also not that exiting. Loads of very high end manufacturers still use the decent but ordinary connectors and get away with it. When coming from el cheapo pcb connectors any serious brand plug will do.

A side note :

There is more than a connector performing well for audio;
Almost more important is how it allows you to solder well.

And as Coen just mentioned : how plugs fit into it in good fashion. A good terminal (and plug) feels decent (always). Slide in the plug with ease, and still feel the decency. The "heavyness".

Thanks guys, I'll probably go with the WBT Next gens. Right now the circuit was created with basic radio Shack copper wire, but since it sounds so good the wire will be replaced with silver, gold plated. Can't wait to get this hooked up to the NOS USB sometime soon!
