Would it be possible to have a volume preset botton on the album level? So, for example, you decide what the perfect volume is for a particular album and you hit a button that then automatically assigns that volume level to all the tracks in the album. Thereafter, when creating a playlist, the tracks would play at the previously assigned level. This would be great for those not using a preamp and who generally like to consistently listen at loud levels. Also, it would be a partial solution for not having a remote volume control. Perhaps I am being a bit too fanciful.......

Great Idea, but it shouldn't it be used to record/assign the best "Absolute Phase/Polarity" setting for each track rather than the preferred volume setting?

Very easy to make, but quite impossible to design.
Well, at least after one minute of thinking I wouldn't know how you'd calibrate that.

The Absolute Phase is an easy one all over. But here we must be careful that this doesn't change along the way. That is, as far as we know this is dependend on Q1 as well, or at least with Engine#3 it is/was. Now, change from KS Adaptive to KS Special (requires different Q1 settings) and then what ?

But if this is not taken into account ... easy.

You could assign it album by album, or album group. In other words if you have an album or a group of albums ready to play at a given volume, you can click the readily available save volume button and that volume will be used until you change it, or resave it for that/those albums.

I'm assuming it's an by the ear thing, not a precise measurement thing that Boleary is after--I could be wrong, there's always a first time--and always the most memorable, but I digress.

Damn, I was hoping you'd be wrong there Chris, but of course you're not.  :) Totally using current volume settings and what sounds best to me subjectively.
