Title: Phasure NOS1 output terminals Post by: Eric on July 23, 2011, 06:25:08 pm Peter,
can I use both XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced outputs simultaneously without creating any (sound-)problems? Cheers, Eric Title: Re: Phasure NOS1 output terminals Post by: PeterSt on July 24, 2011, 06:25:07 am Hi Eric,
It seems a bit tricky, but at least when such a thing is measured it shows no difference. I measured this with 100K impedances at the other sideS. Think like an amp (100K) connected to RCA and the analyser (100K) to XLR. Now, the amp connected or not did not show a difference. Earlier I advised someone not to do this, because it feels like the one might influence the other. On the other hand, if this were so, one connected device would influence itself already. In the end it is about a decent impedance "match" and as long as you stay above 1K for both devices (like 600 Ohm for the one and 500 Ohm for the other) it should be ok. A bit of a normal amplifier will be 47K at least, so ... So ... this is still audio. Try it, but listen carefully for changes. Listen in the "buzzing" area (standing waves in the higher regions). What are you going to do ? hook up the neighbours ? :) Peter Title: Re: Phasure NOS1 output terminals Post by: Eric on July 24, 2011, 01:30:20 pm Thanks Peter.
I want to connect a headphone(amp) without disconnecting the main amp connection all the time. Cheers Eric Title: Re: Phasure NOS1 output terminals Post by: PeterSt on July 24, 2011, 01:47:01 pm But then what ? shut off the main amp ?

do you (still) use a buffer between your DAC and the main amps or is that need gone with the NOS1 ? thanks, Leo Title: Re: Phasure NOS1 output terminals Post by: PeterSt on July 28, 2011, 09:19:49 am Never used one ...
