Title: Bin Laden dead Post by: PeterSt on May 02, 2011, 05:59:22 am I must say, it is a kind of special to see the President of the US giving a press conference about the death of Bin Laden from the White House - we were passing unsuspectedly only a few hours ago - and just arriving back in the hotel from dinner, the hotel being a mile away from the White House only.
Of course what happend 9/11 touched us all throughout the world, but now being a sort of in the middle of the start of the end of it, is, yes, special. Also special is that all was preceeded by our visit today to the Spy Museum here in Washington, where we learned a few things about intelligence in the past. How odd it is to see it all applied only a few hours later, though with more modern technologies than a "museum" will show. Really an extra dimension to this day, which will be in the records as May 1, 2011. Just had to share ... Peter |
