Title: Double click to play a track?? Post by: kaka on April 28, 2011, 12:01:47 pm Can xxHighend be configured to play tracks by double clicking on them, instead of needing to use the play button as well?
Thanks Title: Re: Double click to play a track?? Post by: PeterSt on April 28, 2011, 02:17:00 pm I'm afraid that is not possible. It could be made theoretically, but you will loose important features which work on selections (which is normal Windows behaviour). So, or the selections are undone by it (your double click), or you just shouldn't have them.
Why do you think this is important ? Peter PS: :offtopic: Over at CA you were talking about .wav sounding better than .aiff for hires; Do you have a means to check that the ouput from XX indeed is the hires you expect ? I mean, I just wonder whether the aiff -> wav conversion goes allright regarding this, since I really never tested it (nor do I have the aiff hires material). Title: Re: Double click to play a track?? Post by: kaka on April 29, 2011, 10:25:54 am Why would I like double click?
It's because I'm used to doing that in other players. I'm just not used to using play buttons to kick things off Can I check my 24/192 material is coming out as 24/192? I'm using a Xonar STX card and it doesn't have a specific "play at the source sample rate" control I've got it set to 192, and am hoping it isn't upsampling lower sample rate material xxHighend is showing 44.1 in 44.1 out, 192 in 192 out etc My main system is a specialist built hackintosh feeding a LIO 8 dac via Firewire, the PC setup is fueling a pair of AudioEngine 5 speakers and xxHighend is doing a very nice job. My Cardas splitter cable (2 x rca - 3.5mm input at the Audioengine speakers) is due tomorrow, and I will do my final comparison with JRiver and Foobar. Very likely you will get an xxHighend order within 24 hours Thanks Title: Re: Double click to play a track??
