Title: 0.9z-3 - "naming" bug when using the A-B repeat function
Post by: Calibrator on December 08, 2010, 02:27:35 pm
G'day Peter, it's the bug hunter from down under here :)

There appears to be a "naming" glitch when using the A-B repeat function in unattended mode.

Load up a track and let it play in unattended mode for a while then go back to the GUI with Alt-X and stop playback. (or just let it complete and allow the GUI to come up normally).

Clear the playlist.

Load up another ( different ) track.

Click on the A button to activate it.

Move the slider along ( 20 seconds will do ), then click on the B button to activate it.

Click on PLAY.

When the GUI disappears and the coverart appears, the ALBUM & TRACK names from that previous track you played are written on the coverart rather that the actual track playing. The correct coverart is shown.

I have tested this several times and the bug is consistent.

If you then disable the A-B repeat function and press PLAY again the ALBUM/TRACK name is then correct ( until the next time you use the A-B repeat).

I looked through the release notes for 0.9z-3 to see if this issue was mentioned and perhaps item 2 in the Known Major issues covers it, but thought I'd mention it in case it didn't.

Cheers,

Russ

Thank you Russ. I have seen this myself, and let it be (for now) on purpose. It may be "an" indication you left on A-B. I mean, I once have been thinking and thinking what could be wrong a "track part" suddenly repeated, while actually it is was an old A-B set. And, along with that goes the Wallpaper not being "refreshed".

Do I have stupid arguments or do I ?

It may even be not easy to solve ...
