I then emailed asking what nos dac chip he was using for high rez files or were the high rez files downsampled. Am still waiting for a reply (3 days but its holiday here.).

I don't think it will sound very wrong if he, as an engineer, is only the audiophile he promises. But it doesn't tell how utmost good it sounds. Of course Peter's dac, being perhaps the best on the globe, is really rather cheap when compared to something like the Trinity dac which costs about 15 thousand, but that doesn't help me. I'm always on the lookout for a descent NOS dac that I can afford, and that will play high rez stuff. There just don't seem to be too many out there.........If the Audio Mirror dac doesn't downsample high rez, I might give it an audition. We'll see.......
