I have a strange situation where my my Overdrive DAC does not support 176.4. My native files are 16/44.1; if I use QAP (my soundcard is 24 bit Off Ramp) then my output files from XXHE would be 24/176.4, which is supported by the soundcard but not by the DAC. Since the prefered sampling rate of my DAC is 96kHz I do often an "offline" conversion (saving the output file on flash memory) with foobar and the "Secret Rabit Code" sample rate converter. I use dBpoweramp as the ripping software; does anyone know about their upsampler quality?
